Shitachi (who counterattacks) (仕太刀)

"Shitachi" is a term used in Bujutsu (martial art) especially in Kenjutsu (swordplay), and Budo (martial art) especially in Kendo (Japanese art of fencing). It refers to the techniques, or the person showing them, to counterattack the "Uchitachi" (attacks), when performing Kata (forms). It is called 'Shijo' in Jojutsu and Jodo (a form of martial art using a cane staff).
