The Asai Family (朝井家)
The Asai family was a Japanese clan. The original family name was Fujiwara. The family came from Omi Province.
The family inherited the official position in charge of the household of the Kajuji Temple connected with the imperial court and the Fujiwara clan, and had the low rank official 'shodaibu.'
The Asai family was Jigeke. Their family crest was 'Three bars in a Circle'. During the Meiji period, the family ranked as gentry or middle class ex-samurai warrior Shizoku.
