Saikachihama Swimming Area (さいかち浜水泳場)
Saikachihama Swimming Area is a swimming area operated by Nagahama City which is located in Takahashi-cho and Tamura-cho in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture facing Lake Biwa.
Chairs are provided and a roofed building in which quick meal and drink can be taken is provided. In the summertime, citizens in small groups sometimes come to enjoy barbecues or fireworks.
Origin of the name
It is said that the origin of the name is that saikachi (Japanese honey locust) had been planted along lakeside of Lake Biwa.
