Miura Akitsugu (三浦朗次)
Akitsugu MIURA (September 15, 1834 - March 13, 1860) was a feudal lord (daimyo) in Japan during the Edo period. He was the 8th lord of the Katsuyama Domain in Mimasaka Province. He was the second son of Kiyosumi ARIMA, the lord of the Maruoka Domain in Echizen Province. His officially recognized wife was Katsutaka MATSUDA's daughter. He was awarded the rank of Jugoinoge (Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade) and Shima no kuni no kami (govenor of Shima Province).
Akitsugu MIURA was born on September 15, 1834. His childhood name was Gonosuke. His first adulthood name was Junkaku. He succeeded Yoshitsugu MIURA, the previous lord, as the lord of the Katsuyama Domain on December 17, 1848 after Yoshitsugu's retirement. He died on March 13, 1860 at the age of 27 and was succeeded by Hirotsugu MIURA, his adopted heir. His posthumous Buddhist name was Seikoin. His grave is in Seigan-ji Temple in Momijigaoka, Fuchu City, Tokyo Metropolitan Prefecture.
