Wakebe Mitsutada (分部光忠)
Mitsutada WAKEBE (August 26, 1698 - April 20, 1731) was the 5th lord of the Omizo Domain, Omi Province. He was the 6th head of the Wakebe family.
He was the third son of Nobumasa WAKEBE, the 4th lord of the domain. His mother was from the Kato clan. His lawful wife was a daughter of Nobuaki TAMURA. His concubine was from the Tani clan. He had children including Mitsunaga WAKEBE (the first son), Tadanori (忠徳) TSUNEKAWA) (the second son), Chuken (忠睍) NAGANO) (the third son), Tadanaga (忠栄) NAGANO) (The fourth son), WATANABE no Hisashi (the fifth son), a daughter (wife of Kinya ANEGAKOJI), a daughter (wife of Saneaki (実観) YAMAMOTO), a daughter (wife of Yoshinobu (義敷) UEDA) and a daughter (wife of Motonao (元直) SAWAI). His court rank was Jugoinoge (Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade) and his official post was Sakyo no suke (Assistant Master of the Eastern Capital Offices).
He was born on August 26, 1698. His childhood name was Kumanosuke. Mitsushige was his another name. He was commonly called Hayato. Although he had an older brother Nobuaki WAKEBE, he became an heir because the older brother died young. On August 3, 1714, he succeeded his father who was retired. On April 20, 1731, he died at the age of 34 and the first son of him Mitsunaga succeeded. His homyo (posthumous Buddhist name) was Tsushoinden Kakusan Joso Daikoji.
